Smart motor electronics

In STIHL chainsaws, the saw chain and guide bar are always precisely coordinated with the tool. The STIHL MSA 220 C is equipped with the extremely powerful full-chisel 3/8” PS3 saw chain.
Tool-free Quick Chain Tensioning system
Chain changing made easy: Unscrew the sprocket cover, secure the new cutting attachment, reattach the sprocket cover, and easily and quickly tension the chain using the adjusting wheel. Securely re-tighten the wingnut. Done.
A practical felling guide
The raised, printed felling guide on the fan housing enables you to precisely determine the tree’s direction of fall.
