MSA 300 Cordless Chainsaw - 40cm / 16" bar
The MSA 300 is STIHL's most powerful cordless chainsaw, designed for demanding professional use - with power equivalent to that of the MS 261 C-M petrol chainsaw. Three available operating modes enable optimum battery efficiency across a range of applications such as felling, delimbing and cutting to length.
The MSA 300 has a full electrical power of 3.0 kW, which is provided by the AP 500 S* battery. It allows for an adjustable chain speed of 3 different levels - 20m/s, 24m/s and 30 m/s. When combined with the Light 04 guide bar and .325" RS Pro saw chain, it has excellent cutting performance whilst retaining a reduced weight. The chainsaw is highly ergonomic and comfortable to use over longer periods of work too thanks to a compact, balanced design and the STIHL anti-vibration system.
The LED display allows for intuitive operation, giving the user notifications on chain brake position and power setting. Mounting point for the STIHL Smart Connector 2 A on the power tool housing. Other features include integrated cooling air filters, captive nut on the sprocket cover and an adjustable oil pump. Like most AP System tools, the MSA 300 is IPX4 rated meaning it can be used in all types of weather conditions.

Thanks to STIHL Quick Chain Tensioning, you can tension your saw chain quickly and without tools, thanks to the adjusting wheel. Turning the adjusting wheel to the left releases tension on the saw chain, and turning the adjustment wheel to the right tensions the saw chain. The non-woven air filter filters sawdust, fine dust and dirt from the cooling air flow. This keeps the heat sinks of the power electronics and the engine parts clean in the long term. The removed non-woven air filter can be easily and effectively cleaned with STIHL Varioclean and then reused. Cleaning should be carried out regularly – monthly in the event of heavy use.MAKES FILL-LEVEL MONITORING EASY.
With the transparent oil tank, you can easily and quickly check the fill level of the chain oil. This means that you always know when you need to add chain oil for efficient work over long periods.FOR COMFORTABLE HANDLING.
The control lever with potentiometer function allows you to control the speed of your battery-powered chainsaw on an infinitely variable basis, and in this way easily control and adjust its performance as needed. This chainsaw offers you 3 different operating modes. The derating function offers you two advantages in your work: first, this function protects your chainsaw against possible overheating by reducing the current.
